L.C. North studied psychology at university before pursuing a career in Public Relations. Her first book club thriller - The Ugly Truth - combines her love of psychology and her fascination with the celebrities in the public eye. L.C. North is currently working on her second novel, and when she’s not writing, she co-hosts the crime thriller podcast, In Suspense.

My impressions…

Originally and cleverly narrated through interviews, transcripts and diary entries, this novel had me hooked from the very beginning. I like books that ask me to make a choice, but I couldn’t decide whose side to take here – and that made the reading experience even better because I like having my convictions challenged! And extremely topical and addictive novel on the influence that social media and the press have on public opinion. 100% recommended!

Three words to describe it. Gripping. Smart. Thought-provoking.

Do I like the cover? Yes, it’s very eye-catching!

Have I read any other books by the same author? No, not yet. See you at the bookshop!
