My impressions…

Mainly told from the points of view of Laila and Em, and alternating between the present and the events leading up to it, this is the perfect summer thriller. Set in what should be a dream holiday location, it plunges the reader into a scenario where you can’t trust anyone. Full of tension and surprises, the author kept me on my toes – and on the edge of my seat – until the very end.

Three words to describe it. Addictive. Suspenseful. Twisty.

Do I like the cover? Yes, it’s adequately hot!

Have I read any other books by the same author? No, but I can’t for the life of me explain why!

That’s why I surprised myself when I decided to read a novel whose front cover prominently displays a quote describing it as a ‘terrifying crime novel’.
