Blog tour: Unfaithful

Welcome to the blog tour for Unfaithful by J. L. Butler!

More about the book…

Rachel Reeves has it all. The perfect family, a rich husband, and a gorgeous home. But when her only child flies the nest, Rachel feels lost – and succumbs to a mind-blowing one-night stand.

Instantly regretting her infidelity, Rachel cuts ties with Chris. But he won’t let her go that easily. She erases him from her life – until a text changes everything.

Someone knows what she did. And they’re ready to destroy her entire life because of it.

My impressions…

Was it a page-turner? 100% yes. I couldn’t bear to put this book down. I thought I could guess all the plot twists from early on but I had to keep changing my views every time something else cropped up, which - to my delight - was quite often.

Did the book meet my expectations? When I read the synopsis of this book, it vaguely reminded me of a novel I loved a long time ago, Rendezvous by Esther Verhoef. I therefore expected to love this book too… and I did. The characters were credibly flawed and the tension was constantly high, which is not always easy to achieve.

Three words to describe it. Dark. Sexy. Gripping.

Do I like the cover? It’s a nice cover, and I like it, but I don’t think it’s dark enough for this novel.

Have I read any other books by the same author? No, but I would love to.
